I constantly live in the daydreamy land of my head and the future is a subject that I cheerily think about very frequently!! In 5 years, I’ll be….. 34! Ahh! But hopefully still looking and feeling young. 😀
I hope I’ll be surrounded by furry friends! I hope to adopt a few more kitties in the next couple of years and give them the happiest home possible!
I’ll be covered in colour, yarn, and glue!! I really hope to be creating, having fun, and making money doing it.
I’ll be HAPPIER than ever and still dancing around my little pink house while cookies bake in the oven! Hopefully I can work through the things that scare me. Perhaps with an equally kooky guy by my side (who knows! there’s a pot for every lid I hear! ;)), but if not that’s okay.
STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES! I go for a long walk every single day and pretty much walk everywhere I need to go! I started many years back just to get out and DO SOMETHING that wasn’t staring at a screen. But it was not only good exercise, it was sooo good for the mind. I love just looking at how pretty nature is and letting my imagination go wild!
BE POSITIVE!!! Sometimes harder said than done, but I try not to let things get me down! When in doubt, I seek out funny things and laugh and try to spread the happy to everyone I can find. Or just seek out some rainbows! Positive thought works and positivity is really CONTAGIOUS!
DON’T LOOK BACK!! The past is the past, you can only move forward!! Don’t dwell on things you did or didn’t do yesterday. You can only focus on how good tomorrow is going to be. 🙂
I was completely totally obsessed with the Baby-Sitters Club books by Ann M. Martin! I remember begging my mom to go to the library all the time to absorb as many of them as possible (and there were TONS!) Then would dream about the day I would get to babysit myself and have all these wild adventures (still can’t believe babysitting is not all big money, whirlwind romance, and busting crime)! I love spotting the BRIGHT covers when thrifting and then have to buy them – still a fun read.
I also really loved anything Roald Dahl, Rainbow Fish (that cover is forever etched in my mind!), and iSpy.
I spent ALL morning in the kitchen baking again and I *think* I’ve got all my Christmas goodies done for this year (if only because I don’t have an inch of freezer or cupboard space left!) So favourite foods seems like the perfect prompt for today!! Let me tell you… I have a MAJOR sweet tooth! All my trips to the dentist as a kid are proof of that!
Here are my top ten favourites:
Waffles (with extra extra butter and syrup!)
Bagels – I usually add sprinkles for extra fun!
Cupcakes – the more frosting the better!
Ice cream sandwiches – the best kind of sandwich for sure! I made this one from a recipe from the Hello Kitty Baking Book (link to Amazon)!
Fish and Chips – so yummy and greasy! This is from my favourite little restaurant – Fergie’s Fish N Chips
Strawberries – so sweet and good for you! Especially with whipped cream!
Pizza – I LOVE pizza and don’t think I could ever get sick of it. It’s one of my favourite things to cook too! I made this Pikachu Pizza a couple years ago (with vegan cheese!)
Japanese sweets! – They’re so yummy and very different! My favourites are Sakupan (adorable chocolate panda cookies), Strawberry Pocky, and anything ramune (it’s a bubbly lemon-limey flavour)!
