The topic for Day 2 of the October Blogging Challenge is goals for October! It’s been a long time since I’ve made a list of goals so glad to bring it back! I’m excited to accomplish them all:
Get caught up on my Mood Blanket!
I took a knitting break for a couple of months because of my mental health and because of the lack of availability of yarn from the pandemic! But I’m busy knitting again and trying to catch up on the 100-ish squares that I’m behind on (eek!!) The blanket is SO huge now (it weighs almost 8 pounds and it’s only over half done!)
Get spooky for Halloween!
It’s THAT TIME OF THE YEAR!! It’s going to be a bit different because I’m really trying to avoid going into any stores at all, so I’m going to make all of my own decorations and goodies this year!
Could this be it?!?! The last and final day of this challenge?
Blogging for this past month has really helped me find who I really am and find my voice!!
I was having a bit of an identity crisis for a few months before this! I found myself in a bit of a creative “rut” that I just couldn’t shake. I wanted to DO STUFF and take pictures and share ecstatic happiness, but I didn’t know where to start so I wasn’t doing ANYTHING. Blogging everyday gave me a place to figure me out and spill my insides (where Twitter and Instagram never quite seemed like the place!) I feel like myself again and am beyond happy!
I created this blog to show the things I create and learn as well as to stay motivated!! But mostly I just want this to be a place to continue to let me be myself, share positivity with others, not worry about what others think this place should be, and most importantly HAVE FUN.
I’m also interested in making FRIENDS! So blogging folks, come say hi! I’d love to visit your blog and meet you. 😀 xoxo
I spent New Years Eve enjoying a bunch of leftover Christmas treats, making a quick colourful 2019 headband, and chasing after my cat who kept stealing the pompoms!
I had so much fun, but ended up falling asleep at 9 – oops!!! I was trying to stay up, and I was even going to set an alarm just in case I fell asleep but then fell asleep before I could do THAT! Hahaha!
I ended up watching fireworks this morning (on Youtube ;))!
My one big goal for this year is to CREATE EVERY SINGLE DAY! Even if it’s just a little bit of something. I dream of having a magical house full to the brim with colour, fabrics, knitted things, craft projects, and the constant smell of fresh baked goodies ~ my own enchanted little paradise!! And then post my creations every day (or so) here on this blog! I hope this challenge will allow me to be productive and constantly learn new skills!
I also just want to be HAPPY this year, fight through my anxiety, be healthy, and as bright and unique as can possibly be!
2018 was my absolutely best year ever, and 2019 is guaranteed to be EVEN BETTER! Can’t wait to enjoy it with you all! xoxo
