HAPPY LAST DAY OF 2019! And last day of the DECADE to boot!
Wow has so much changed for me in the past year ~ in great ways! I started the year so excited to create a bright happy life for myself, and am ending it even more positive about everything! The middle was stuffed with great stuff too. Here’s some of what I accomplished!
And so much more! Hard to believe it has been 365 days! I really just want 2020 to be very similar – just happy, colourful, and creative! I think we can do it!
LET’S GO!!! Lots of love and best of luck to you all in 2020!! xoxo
Outside my window is ridiculously, no good, oh so freezing, why do I live here – COLD!!! Everybody is daydreaming about getting away to a hot sandy beach far far away to escape the cold. Me, I’m not such a big fan of hot either – but a trip to a magical land of CANDY is much more my thing!
One of my favourite artists and a big sweet-toothed inspiration of mine is the installation artist PIP AND POP. Pip and Pop (also known as Australian artist Tanya Schultz) creates entire worlds filled with candy, sparkly rainbow sugar, and complete and utter HAPPINESS that transport you back to the carefree days of your childhood when your teeth just ACHED from FAR TOO MANY SWEETS and there was endless possibility!
You can’t help but wanting to build a little house on the foot of a towering glittering sugar sweet mountain! Let’s GO!
I find the time after Christmas to be a bit sad of the energy and bright coziness of the season is gone… so like the HAPPY post on Christmas, this seems like quite an appropriate topic. But I’m trying to stay POSITIVE and make this the best day EVER!!
Before we get to the HAPPY again, a couple of my not favourite things… People hurting other people and animals, when other people are sad, jealousy and comparing myself to others, worrying about what other people think about me, not doing things when my anxiety gets a hold of me, and giving up on my goals.
I’ve been busy crafting to get over some of the blue feelings that are creeping in my brain! I love doing something that lets you COMPLETELY leave the real world behind…
Getting over some of the things that make me sad and anxious is going to be a big part of the next year. So instead I’m going to turn to the happy things in life… and just BE ME!
This seems like a great topic for Christmas!! SOOO many things make be unbelievably happy, I can’t JUST pick one thing! When life gets tough it’s good to remember all these great things.
Pink, rainbows, BRIGHT colours! Baking! Oodles of frosting! Candy and cake and cookies!
My cat! Unicorns! MAGIC!
My happy pink little house! Flowers! Blasting music and dancing around with the curtains open for all to see!
Hello Kitty, collecting plushies, toys, and kawaii things! Video games! Things that remind me of my happy childhood!
Texting silly memes with friends! Looong walks in the forest! Dressing up, especially in BIG POOFY DRESSES! Hot rainy days and splashing barefoot in puddles! Creating cute things for other people! The craft aisle! Taking pictures! Kindness and silliness… really it goes on and on. You may “grow up”, but keep loving what you love to the extreme.
Hope your Christmas is filled with all sorts of things that make YOU happy as can be! 🙂
STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES! I go for a long walk every single day and pretty much walk everywhere I need to go! I started many years back just to get out and DO SOMETHING that wasn’t staring at a screen. But it was not only good exercise, it was sooo good for the mind. I love just looking at how pretty nature is and letting my imagination go wild!
BE POSITIVE!!! Sometimes harder said than done, but I try not to let things get me down! When in doubt, I seek out funny things and laugh and try to spread the happy to everyone I can find. Or just seek out some rainbows! Positive thought works and positivity is really CONTAGIOUS!
DON’T LOOK BACK!! The past is the past, you can only move forward!! Don’t dwell on things you did or didn’t do yesterday. You can only focus on how good tomorrow is going to be. 🙂
